The results for the October 20 JPR are here! Click on the link above to view the overall scores for the ride. And what a wonderful day it was! The weather could not have been more beautiful for an autumn ride. We had close to 80 riders from all over western Pennsylvania. Thank you to all who participated in our ride and a big thank you to all of our volunteers, it would not have been possible without you.
Our Year End Awards Banquet is less than a month away. Wow, this season flew by. And now it's time to recognize everyone who rode hard and worked hard this year. The banquet will be held at the Wall VFW on November 16 at 5:30 pm. This event is open to both members and non-members at $10 per person. All we ask is that you please bring either a dessert or pop for our dinner and an item for the Stonybrook Bucks auction. Invitations will be arriving in the mail shortly for our members. If you don't recieve an invitation or are interested in coming, contact us via e-mail. RSVP by November 6.
Well folks, the show season is now in our rear view mirror. I believe we had a great year and we can only move forward from here. Next year is full of so much potential and promise. It is up to us, as a club, to make SSC the best it can be! And next year, as far away as it seems now, will be here before we know it. We are always looking for new ideas and suggestions for Stonybrook, so stay warm this winter by thinking of functions and fundraisers for our 2014 season!
We held our final regular season show of the year on September 15. Thank you to Marcy Gruchalak who was at the horse show taking some great shots of the riders and their horses. The pictures are available on her website, http://marcygru8486.wix.com/mg-photography, under the "Stonybrook" tab. Thank you to all of our members and non-members who made this year so amazing! But don't be too sad! We still have our autumn JPR at Deer Lakes Park on October 20! And our Year End Awards Banquet on November 16!

2013 SSC Shows and Events
November 16 - Year End Awards Banquet @ Wall VFW
Our Tack Swap/Flea Market was a great success! We had over 20 booths set up! I saw a lot of happy people walking away with great items. I hope it was as fun for everyone else as it was for my dogs (I got a garbage bag full of tennis balls at the swap for a steal!). I hope this can be the first of many great events Stonybrook has to offer to our members and community. Remember Members, we welcome any feedback and suggestions for different functions you would like to see hosted at Stonybrook. Click here for pictures.
We still need sponsors for many of our classes and anyone interested in getting your name or business on a banner, we are accecpting sponsorships for our bleacher project. And it is never too late to become a member and take advantage of all the great benefits Stonybrook has to offer.
